My Visit to Congressman Pete Sessions Office

September 25, 2008
by Joel Bailey

Thank you to everyone who submitted their name to the petition that I gave to Congressman Pete Sessions’ office this morning!

I went to Sessions’ Office this morning with two other precinct chairs (Jarrod Atkinson and John Peterson) from Dallas county and spoke to Ori Raphael, the outreach coordinator, for about 30 minutes about our various perspectives on this unconstitutional $700 Bilion Wall Street bailout. They’ve received HUNDREDS of phone calls at the Dallas and Washington Offices, but we were the first to actually show up to talk with them. The three of us feel that it was highly effective and productive.

A fourth member of our group went to Congresswoman Johnson’s Office and filled out a constituent form expressing that he is against the bailout. Besides the peition that I brought, John brought a few news articles and the Campaign for Liberty flyer that he has been distributing in his precinct. If you go to your Congressman or Senator’s Office, consider bringing documentation or information that expresses your views.

Its too bad Pete Sessions dosent care about the Constitution or his oath to uphold it. I will not vote for him this time, as he clearly does not have the interest of America at heart, only that of big government and Wall Street bankers. Bye Pete, its over for you. Enough of these RINOs, psudeo-conservatives.

This is my response to “our” elected officals today. Good thing I’m a Christian and believe in reserection, otherwise, it’d be over for America, because, as of today, our “Republic” is dead.

    Dear (Senator, Congressperson, Governor),

Although you have neglected the functioning document intended to safeguard our God-given rights without there having to be bloodshed, many of us out here, whom you were elected to serve, fully intend to step up now and reclaim our government from the faithless employees who dine on our nickel.

You have had plenty of opportunity to know and understand the facts surrounding the President-elect’s unverified qualifications, and to risk your career on behalf of my grandchildren’s peaceful liberty.

Now, thanks to your inaction, they will have liberty with unnecessary strife, as Jefferson predicted would have to occur to maintain the Republic. The Tree of Liberty will be sprinkled, and there are more of us out here willing to donate blood to this cause than you have miscalculated. This will be borne out in the next election.

When the campaign to reclaim the People’s sovereignty begins, and gets into full swing, and it appears to you to be Divinely-led, Divinely-driven, and unstoppable, please do not embarass either of us by approaching me via letter, automated phone call, or email to solicit a renewal of your contract. Save us all the extra penny.

As of today, you are considered “dismissed from your post” by this individual sovereign, and I will consult the board, meaning every eligible voting Republican I meet, to advocate final and irrevocable termination of your job as public servant of the People of the Sovereign State of Texas.

Your past record has been commendable. But, it matters not all that you have done for the business if you do not run into the building afire to put out the flames. That is what you are actually being paid for, not for doing those things that are easy, or that merely cause discomfort, but those things that appear to cost you your very livelihood. The Republic is far bigger than your career, something FDR never quite learned, and which you demonstrate through your silence, that you have not either.

I am not blind to the risks to your political power in challenging Senator Obama’s elibibility status. Upholding your sworn oath (before God) to defend The Constitution, would have to involve serious consequences eventually. But I reiterate: this is not about you. It is about Ourselves and Our Posterity, both of whom you have now betrayed.

Please understand, this is not personal. It’s just that it’s time for you to move on, and I will do my best to help you to that new path God has for your life, and for my family’s as well. Thanks to the sinful, and Constitutionally criminal silence of all of America’s elected representatives, we will all be forging new and treacherous paths not previously intended, and certainly never wished upon our worst enemies.

Therefore, it’s time for new management, men and women who are up for a struggle that will expectedly cost them their comfort and security in the short run, possibly their lives in the long run, but yielding God-ordained payoffs, for people other than themselves, in the end. These are “the blessings of liberty,” the freedom bought and paid for by the blood of Christ, thereafter entrusted to us.

Thank you for your service, and I regret that it had to end this way.

    Yours truly
